So, do you think U are an expert on YoU?
I have been meeting myself from all angles.
Could you imagine spending 24/7 with your mind?
ok, let's just try 24 hrs ... One day!
Every thought or idea or comment ... Everything that is happening in your mind you will talk it out loud to YOU.
Being available and present with you/your mind to YOU. How would you feel at the end of that day? Did you have fun with your Self? Are you exhausted? enlightened? amazed?
I am finding it's tons more fun to be present with me when I am kind, loving, and patient with myself.
Starting to feel the connectedness love that is the relationship. (Thanks again to Meditations from the Mat)
A relationship is one we sow either with seeds of our liberation or the seeds of imprisonment. Your choice!
I am paying attention to the nature of my relationships to myself. My relationship to the bottom of my feet, my breath, the little nat buzzing around my left ear ... whatever I am bringing my focused mind, me, myself and I right there leaving everything else out. Just NOW. Yeah, right!
Wouldn't that be amazing....
and then I sounded out that if I became my best friend, someone I love hanging with then how sweet is that... Oh life is so amazing ... the classroom is always open. Good for us on-going students of life... or slow learners who strive for simplicity.
GG to CC come in ..

Nurturing ourselves ... What a notion ...
Nurturing ourselves ...
Thanks to Elena Bower for an incredible yoga practice this morning. She said this all so beautifully with my input added in.
It's very difficult at times to take care of ourselves.
Nuturing self may seem like a ridicules notion ... so many other things to do ... Blah blah blah ...
Tho many people have seen when someone is not present to nurture themselves. If I am judging, then better check in with myself because most likely I too am not caring enough about myself. Something to pay attention to! For each of us to start focusing on caring about ourselves with clarity and consistency inspires the ones around us.
If this is selfish, then so it is ... Necessary!
Taking care of ourselves starts with how we see ourself, how we think and talk to ourself and about ourself.
Take a moment today to turn in ... returning home to the heart.
Most of the time nurturing ourselves is about breathing into a moment, into our being, into a situation. Breath in more space and acceptance.
This practice is a huge gift for those of us who seems to take care of everyone else before ourselves. A paradox ... We feel we have to be there for other people tho if we are not here for ourselves then our offerings are not complete. So, I am acknowleding my breathing and observing myself. Wowee ... this is a fascinating journey ... it's like taking a pause to reconnect with self. A daily practice for me. Practice practice practice...
Mark Woodwell says to breathe in an intimate, energetic occasion for yourself with your yoga practice. I am craving this daily practice for myself. Some days are twofers.
Breathing in, being aware, attentive listening and love are the most nurturing acts you can do for yourself consistently. Who knew that maintaining a positive energy would be such fun.
Let's keep learning how to take care of ourselves ...
even when we hula hoop or during our golf swings!
Never know what's next on the road to more "Grounding & Growing Tips".

Turning the viewfinder around .... What do I see?
Being your own observer takes effort. To see yourself from outside your being in a totally non-judgmental way is an awesome practice to develop.
How attentive are you to your own presence of exactly what is in front of you at each moment, completely and aware? What is your impression (first gut truth) of your state at any moment, seeing while being conscious and knowing what is acting on you and animating you. What gives you strength, magnetism and mastery of your own being? This all can be developed by watching yourself. A very powerful exercise and one that can change your life.
Imagine spending an entire day with you, yourself! With every thought and bleep that happens in your mind. Imagine having to listen to your mind rattle on and on for that entire day. Would you find your company interesting, boring, tiring, exhilarating ...?
I have been keeping an observation journal of me! WOW!
Interesting findings and some surprises. Everyday I write just what I observed about myself in my daily scenarios. This is not about reliving each event, this is about seeing yourself and observing how you responded or felt or looked ... It's worth trying it out for a week. You might be totally shocked to see how you are in your world.
This is all part of becoming more aware of our bodies through the top door.
Being the observer will help you develop more awareness not only of your thoughts and ways but also in you postures and habits.
So there is your challenge for this time.
(oh, here is a hint to help with this observation .... Keep returning to the breathe to tune in. Week two of this yearly homework assignment blog of mine is worth checking out if you want some suggestions for breathing techniques. That week was a huge challenge to put myself in front of the camera and share that way. Hoping to find more comfort and ease in doing more of it. For years I have so loved being behind the camera and capturing what my eye saw outside Guess it's my challenge now to look through my own viewfinder at myself.

Checking in .... Got to love the sharing ...
Movement with breath can fuel every cell in our bodies
So many people don't focus on what their body is doing.
Are you aware how many times a day you are doing repetitive motions?
If you are having difficulty posting, please email me so I am aware of the problem and will work on it. I am back among the Internet world once again. The break to raw, beautiful nature and all it's energies was incredible, once again and again ...
Also, pls pass this along to others if you are finding my yearly homework blog assignment interesting.
Oh, so much to learn and loving the journey!
and You?
Big hug and much love
